Dear Clark Spooks with its Halloween Party Benefiting ALS
Dear Clark Hair Studio will host a spooky Halloween art event on Thursday, October 30th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm. with proceeds benefiting ALS. The event at 3317 McKinney Ave. will feature the work of six unique artists.
Artwork by Val Curry, Sage Hagan, Danielle Georgiou, Hillary Holsonback, John N. Loving, Hannah Elliot, and Tom Sale will be on display and available for purchase. Along with the artwork, jewerly designs by F is for Frank jewelry will be available for guests to purchase. 10% of art sales will go directly to ALS along with 20% of Dear Clark product sales.
During the event, DJ Jordan Bell will provide musical entertainment while guests enjoy drinks from Rotta Wine, Tribal Juices, and Austin Cocktails along with yummy bites from Easy Slider. The Danielle Georgiou Dance Group will also perform during the event!
Since it is Halloween, Dear Clark will have a contest for the Most Creative Halloween costumes! The top three most creative costumes will win a special prize from Dear Clark! The first place winner will receive a cut and color; the second place winner will get a complimentary blow out and Dear Clark products; and the third place winner will receive a set of Dear Clark products. Either way, come dressed to impress, as photos will be taken all night!
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. About Dear Clark:
Holly Dear and Kaycee Clark first met in the 1990s while working at Toni and Guy. Their paths eventually led them in different directions. Holly took off to Italy to develop products for Kemon, and Kaycee headed west to work for KMS California as the Global Creative Director. In 2007 they reunited, and launched Dear Clark in 2008 with a goal of creating a teamwork environment with an emphasis on the entrepreneurial spirit. The salon is now home to over 30 stylists and includes a full-service blow dry lounge. In April of 2013, Holly and Kaycee launched the Dear Clark product line.
