Project HOPE is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing global disaster relief to those who need it most. Through our distribution of medicines, supplies and devoted volunteers, Project HOPE provides emergency support leading to long-term health programs addressing gaps and needs in the affected regions around the world.
Now, more than ever, Project HOPE needs the support to enable our increased efforts abroad, most recently our efforts in Nepal, a country devastated by a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake that killed more than 7,000 people to date; arguably the worst disaster to hit the South Asian country in more than 80 years. The Project HOPE team in the region is working with the local and international disaster response task force in Nepal to seek collaborations so we can effectively respond to the disaster. We are actively reaching out to our partners to source donated medicines and supplies for health facilities overwhelmed by the disaster.
In an effort to gain support for our Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief sector, Project HOPE has established Day of Crisis, an event designed to simulate a disaster scenario where participants will compete in an obstacle course. Through overcoming the challenges that one would face in a real life crisis situation, participants will understand the severity and importance of what Day of Crisis is aiming to accomplish; to prevent disease, promote wellness, respond to disasters and save lives around the globe.

See www.dayofcrisis.org for more details on this extraordinary event. Even more details on the event on 6/20 here, it’s essentially an obstacle course that challenge the first responder in all of us, but it’s also a fundraiser. http://donate.projecthope.org/site/TR?fr_id=1231&pg=entry.
